1. Why choose Lueur Beauti for bridal hair and makeup in Chicago?
Rana Nasif founded Lueur Beauti and has been doing hair and makeup since 2006. She has worked with brands including The Home Edit, Bare Minerals, and Michael Kors, and her bridal work has appeared in wedding publications. We come to you, so you and your wedding party can get ready together in one place. Each artist on our team maintains professional licensing. We create timeless, personalized looks that last all day and photograph beautifully.
2. How do I book?
3. What hairstyles and makeup looks do you do?
For hair: updos, braids, soft curls, and sleek styles, chosen for your face shape, hair type, and dress. For makeup: anything from soft and natural to full glam. Send us photos of looks you love, and we’ll build your look around them.
4. How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 12 to 18 months before your wedding. Dates in peak wedding season fill first, so reach out as soon as you have your date.
5. Can you handle large wedding parties?
Yes. We work with wedding parties of every size, from a few people to 20 or more. For larger groups, we bring additional artists and plan a schedule around your photographer’s timeline so everyone is ready on time. We come to your home, hotel, or venue.
6. Do you offer a bridal preview?
Yes. A bridal preview is a trial run of your wedding-day hair and makeup. Previews are held Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday mornings, 2 to 3 months before your wedding. Bring photos of looks you love, a photo of your dress, and anything you’ll wear in your hair, such as your veil, jewelry, hair accessories, or extensions. We take notes and photos so we can recreate your look on the wedding day.
7. Do you travel for weddings?
Yes, including destination weddings. Travel is charged for each artist:
- Within a 2-hour drive: $1 per mile, round trip, plus any parking, valet, or tolls.
- More than a 2-hour drive: $1 per mile, round trip, plus an overnight stay and a daily allowance (per diem).
- Destination weddings: you cover airfare, lodging, ground transportation, and a daily allowance.
We include travel in your quote, so you know the full cost before you book.
8. How should I prepare for my preview?
Arrive with clean, completely dry hair and a clean, moisturized face with no makeup. Bring your inspiration photos and hair accessories, and tell us about any allergies or skin sensitivities before your appointment.
9. How long does hair and makeup take on the wedding day?
Plan on about 2 hours for the bride’s hair and makeup, and 30 to 45 minutes per service for each person in the wedding party. We send you a schedule before the wedding, built around your photographer’s timeline.
10. Can I see your work?
11. Do you have experience with different cultures and religions?
Yes. We have worked with South Asian, Middle Eastern, Asian, and African American brides and their families, and we know the traditional hair and makeup styles each one calls for. We plan around head coverings and any makeup guidelines your faith or family follows. Tell us what matters to you, and we’ll build your look around it.
